Build a food shop, then put a ride or sideshow next to it. A lot of people should come to the food shop. When they leave, they should buy something.

Pause the game, hold shift and type extra. A box will appear for you to type how much more money you want.
Make sure you type it all in capital letters.

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "standard.sam" file in the "datalevels" game folder. Change the "BankAccountInfo.InitialCash 50000" line to "BankAccountInfo.InitialCash 500000".
